Live Engraving for Event Series Launch - Wynwood, Miami
I recently partnered with Cheyenne Rodney (@cheyennetheblogger), a Miami food and experiences blogger, to personalize commemorative ceramic tiles for the launch of her Alcohol Artistry Experience Miami (AAEX). The AAEX is an immersive cocktail artistry event which aims to immerse guests in an interactive journey of sophisticated cocktail experimentation. The event launch was held at Hodler Gallery in Miami’s hip Wynwood District. Guests were given the opportunity to savor a variety of hand-crafted artisanal cocktails curated by some of Miami’s most talented mixologists.
A unique experience for a unique event
I was on hand to treat guests to personalized, engraved commemorative ceramic coasters. My booth was located next to one of the mixology stations at the entrance of the event space. Guests were impressed by seeing their names and messages being permanently etched in real time. Attendees opted to have their names, nicknames, and even their social media handles engraved. For many of the guests, this was the first time they had seen this type of personalization.
Creating a Personalized Experience
If you are launching an event series or product or simply looking for an innovative way to celebrate a special event, having a live on-site hand-engraver helps to create a unique and memorable activity for your guests. With the small, portable microdrill that I use to create these beautiful works of art, live engraving has become more accessible to a wide range of events.
Pro tip: For events where all guests are to receive a personalized item, consider limiting the number of words that guests can have on their personalized item to ensure there is enough time to create a personalized experience for each person.
Pro tip: When designing your event space layout, consider stationing your artist in a higher-traffic area so that guests can be involved in the experience from the beginning of your event.
