Place Cards for Vogue100 Art Basel Kickoff Luncheon
Art Basel 2023 was a whirlwind of exhibitions, luncheons, dinners, and parties! Of course, Miami was awash with celebrities from all industries including fashion, art, music, and sports. Sanique + Co. had the opportunity to provide calligraphy for a few events during the festivities. These cards were done to welcome the guests of Vogue100 X Candice Swanepoel and Kimberly Drew’s intimate kickoff luncheon for local artists.
Hosted at a private residence, this luncheon honored some of the hostesses’ favorite Miami artists including Joel Gaítan, Susan Kim Alvarez, Jessy Nite, Eliiot and Erick Jiménez. Honored guests included Laurence Milstein, Martha Graeff, and Barbara Guggenheim. O’Miami poet Cherry Pickman also shared some of her original poems with the guests.
The plant-based menu offered seasonal produce including arugula salad and the main course was a mouthwatering seared sticky harissa cauliflower steak. To finish, olive oil cake topped with sweet raspberries was a perfect compliment to the craft Don Julio cocktails.
Not only did the event highlight Miami’s local artists, it also showcased the work of many local vendors, including floral designer, Paloma Blooms, and Chef Anthony Garcia Montero. It was an honor for us to be included in the team of local vendors helping to support this special event.
